Falconry Courses & Local Falconry Club
We offer a full range of Falconry Courses from a half-day course through to a five day course. For a

We run a local Falconry Club for both children and adults. For the children, this is a chance for them
to be educated about birds of prey and their environment whilst having fun!
The children are split into groups so that we can focus on each child individually. This allows us to
cater for both the experienced and the novice falconer. Everybody learns how to handle and care for the Birds.
The Falconry Club runs each Sunday morning from 9:30am until approximately 11:15am.

Falconry Courses
Hawk Walks
Hawk Walks are the perfect gift for any age and are ideal as a Birthday or Christmas present for that
special someone.
Enjoy the thrill of taking a leisurely walk through the trees and the fields whilst flying a Harris Hawk.
Watch the Bird respond as you have complete control, commanding it to return to the glove.
We provide a warm drink half-way through the walk by way of light refreshment.
Please allow approximately two hours for your Hawk Walk.
Please Note: These Hawks can catch wild prey during the walk if nature takes its course.

Minster Falconry is a family run business which allows us to maintain a personal "one-to-one" relationship with our clients in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
We acquired our first owl 11 years ago which was a male barn owl. Our hobby soon snowballed into an obsession and now to the centre that we run today! Over the last 11 years we have owned a number of different owls and raptors and we still have one of our first with us today, which is Truffles our 9 year old female Common Buzzard.

See Us At Sutton Park .......
Come and visit our Bird of Prey Centre (opening for Summer soon - please telephone before setting off!) and have a wonderful day out with the family at Sutton Park, Sutton-on-the-Forest flying a bird of prey. Learn about, and appreciate, these fantastic creatures! Some of you may even take part in demonstrations throughout the day. There are Handling Displays after each Flying Demonstration where you can experience handling owls, hawks and falcons. Discover how gentle these creatures can be. You may hold the birds and touch them whilst learning about them at the same time and we will answer any questions that you may have.
All our Birds are hand-reared and safe to handle. All our Staff are trained falconers and are extremely knowledgeable about each and every bird of prey at the Centre.
